The Portuguese fishing town of Cascais was the summer holiday location of the Portuguese royal family and aristocracy.
Just a short trip from Lisbon, Cascais seems worlds away from the nearby Sintra and Lisbon (both lovely towns!)

With a mix of cobbled streets and mansions, you can definitely see why this is a popular place for the Portuguese to come to play. I totally fell in love with Cascais. Situated on the Portuguese Riviera Cascais has resorts, luxury hotels, a casino, beautiful beaches and more.
