This past week the Flynns took a long-awaited trip to Hampstead in North London. Sonny and I started our walk at Finchley Road Tube Station, then made our way to the Broadhurst Gardens and Mansions area that is filled with picturesque brick homes. We were going to head to the Freud Museum which is nearby. With a quick little Google search, we learned that it was closed that day 🙁
Next, we ventured read: got lost, then blamed each other for it, trying to find the Freud Museum and ended up at Swiss Cottage station and decided to take the 46 bus through the Belsize Area up to Hampstead High Street. Our first stop was a bookstore you may have heard of.
Waterstones
After perusing the shelves of the bookstore and coming across some London books for me and learning books for Sonny, we were off to our next stop which happens to be right across the street. Another place for books I suggest is West End Lane Books.
Flask Walk
This is an alleyway off Hampstead High Street filled with the quirkiest cutest shops.
Burgh House
As you keep strolling down Flask Walk into New End Square you will find the Hampstead Museum which is also known as the Burgh House. London is filled with historic houses that are open to the public. This one happens to have been built in 1704 and used to be a Spa.
We circled back to Hampstead High Street to find something to eat.
Perrins Court
Nearby is the Cafe Ginger and White and you will Find La Creperie De Hampstead which is a neighborhood favourite. We opted for Dim Sum and the London chain and Dim T. The Flynn’s love their Chinese dumplings
